You can expect a professional, kind service that meets you wherever you are in your feeding experience.
I offer consultations at your home, by video call or by telephone.
By the end of the session you will have a better understanding of your feeding challenges and a plan that feels achievable.
About me
I’m Josie Routley. I qualified as a midwife in 2004 and worked on delivery suite, the antenatal/postnatal ward, the transitional care ward and in the community supporting home births. In 2013 I did a further year of training to become a Health Visitor. I have worked for NHS/public health commissioned services running a specialist breastfeeding service since 2016. In 2020 I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). This means I have over a thousand hours of infant feeding experience, and have done additional training and exams in infant feeding. Two boys call me mum and I have breastfed. I am absolutely committed to helping parents feed their babies safely and confidently through the toughest times.
I cover the Bristol/North Somerset area within 10 miles of BS48.

I am registered with the Nursing midwifery council (NMC) and Lactation Consultants of Great Britain. I have specialist insurance. I also continue to work in public services as an Infant feeding specialist lead.
