First day

Today marks my first day taking private clients as a lactation consultant. It’s a big step, and one that I hope will increase the quality and reach of qualified breastfeeding support in our communities. My heart, and many of my working hours, will always be in free, universal services. My hope is that one day, the breastfeeding support a qualified lactation consultant can give, will be valued and included as standard in UK maternity and postnatal care.
