“I had a very breezy attitude towards breastfeeding before our daughter arrived. I had always said if I could I would, but if it didn’t go well I wouldn’t sweat it. It was only when it didn’t go well that I realised how important it was to me and that I wasn’t prepared to give up.
Due to our tricky start we introduced combi feeding after 5 days and, with a lack of consistent support, I didn’t have high hopes for how long I would continue to breastfeed. I am so happy that this week our daughter turned 5 months and we are still going! I don’t believe we would be where we are now without Josie.
Josie has undoubtedly been the most positive influence on our feeding journey. She supports a happy, healthy feeding relationship between parent and baby – whatever that looks like for you – with understanding, kindness, practical advice and absolutely no judgment.
